Dr. Rhonda Gregory
Principal
After teaching high school and middle school English, Rhonda became a school administrator, serving as an assistant principal and district office director. Rhonda has served as a middle level assistant principal, as well as the director of virtual learning, secondary curriculum, district testing and public relations. She has over ten years of experience in school leadership and nearly twenty in education. She was named the South Carolina Assistant Principal of the Year for 2018 by SCASA. Rhonda's happiest place is working alongside teachers and students within the school setting to do whatever it takes for students and teachers to be successful. She believes that students, teachers and parents are "better together" and is in relentless pursuit of success for all students. It's her desire to put actionable steps in place so that GTCHS is a place where all students are supported. Rhonda holds a BA in Secondary English Education from Anderson University, a Masters and Educational Specialist Degree in School Leadership from Furman University, and a doctorate in Curriculum and Assessment from Southern Wesleyan University.
On a personal note, Rhonda is happily married to Mark, currently active duty in the SC Air National Guard as a security specialist after retiring from a career in law enforcement. Together, they are the proud parents of three daughters and one son in law. They recently moved their youngest into her first year of college so their two dogs are enjoying all the attention that an empty nest brings.
