As I begin my fifth year on the board and second year as the Board Chair, I want to thank my fellow board members for all their hard work and expertise.  They all have the best interest of the school as the focus of every decision.  As a father of two GTCHS graduates and one current student, I am blessed to have my family be a part of GTCHS. 

This past year we celebrated twenty-five years of success, and we continue to push the bounds of excellence in academics and innovation as we leap into the future. The Class of 2024 overcame many obstacles as the last class to begin high school remotely, but more than half of our seniors graduated with 24 or more college credit hours and 30 Associate Degrees were awarded. They also made history as the largest graduating class at GTCHS. Our fine arts department excelled this past year with 5 productions, and 5 musicians earning superior at Solo & Ensemble. Our soccer team was the Region Champions and went to Upper State, and we had multiple students representing GTCHS at the state track meet. We have an outstanding administration team who make all our lives easier and the best faculty anywhere is here at GTCHS. 

The best is yet to come, though. We are anticipating taking ownership of Building 120, and starting our first steps of renovation, including a cafeteria, next summer.   To all students, your future is bright if you make a good plan.  You have everything you need here to get a great start; take advantage.  Life will not always be easy, but if you keep your focus on your goals, you will achieve great things. I am looking forward to a great 2024-2025 school year!
