Mrs. Valerie Dix
Born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a teacher as I have always loved school and learning. It wasn't until middle school that I realized how much I loved learning languages and decided that I would someday teach Spanish. I graduated from Clemson University in 2004 with a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and an emphasis in Spanish and was hired by Greenville Tech Charter. This is my seventeenth year teaching Spanish II and III at GTCHS. I received my Master’s Degree of Education in Divergent Learning from Columbia College in 2007. When I am not teaching, I enjoy coaching the GTCHS cheer team.
Outside of Charter, I am busy shuffling my children, Emma and Cooper, to different extracurricular activities and spending time with my family.
On Monday and Thursday I will be available from 8:00-9:00 in the morning and 1:00-3:00 in the afternoon to help you with assignments via email.
On Fridays I will be available from 1:00-2:15 for help virtually to reteach any material, give any academic feedback and answer any questions about difficult concepts.
