Born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a teacher as I have always loved school and learning. It wasn't until middle school that I realized how much I loved learning languages and decided that I would someday teach Spanish. I graduated from Clemson University in 2004 with a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and an emphasis in Spanish and was hired by Greenville Tech Charter. This is my eighteenth year teaching Spanish II and III at GTCHS. I received my Master’s Degree of Education in Divergent Learning from Columbia College in 2007. I am excited to also be working with English Language Learners this year as well.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two children, Emma and Cooper.
